I started at Fit Camps at the end of January 2011. That first session is a bit of a blur. I remember feeling extremely welcome and not judged on the fact I couldn’t do anything very well. I remember Abe encouraging me to keep running as we circled the block, doing a monster wall squat which was extremely painful and made me want to cry and I remember being lapped by everybody. Many, many times.

When I got home I lay on the floor exhausted. I was too tired to even move. I realised at age 24 I couldn’t even run 200m without stopping, I couldn’t do one burpee or a push-up. I was the worst in the class – even though I was one of the youngest. I was so weak and so unfit and I hated it. It probably would have been quite easy to give up at that point because yes it was hard and yes I felt extremely pathetic. But I made the decision to keep going and I’ve never looked back.

I have now attended Fit Camps regularly for nearly 2 years. I am fitter, faster and stronger than I ever have been – not to mention I have discovered a love for exercising I never would have dreamed I could have.

There is absolutely no way I could have ever got to this point alone. I would never push myself as hard as I do in my workouts if I hadn’t have had the guys at Fit Camps training and guiding me. The accountability of going to Fit Camps when people know I’m meant to show up has been key for me as (especially in the beginning) I would not have had the motivation to do it for myself.

For anyone serious about transforming themselves I 100% endorse starting to work out in an environment like Fit Camps because we’re all like a mini family. The other trainers and fit campers provide so much support and encouragement, and I have met so many friends through it and I friggen love it

I joined Fit Camp over a year ago now, and absolutely love it. I enjoy the group of girls I work out with, as its such a supportive and encouraging environment. We are all at different fitness levels, but the work outs are suitable for all of us. We are all pushed to our limits by the trainers, and encouraged to push through the boundaries and limitations we put on ourselves. Fit Camp has been the catalyst for me to begin eating clean and working out regularly in the gym. I’ve lost weight, and inches and now feel really good in my skin. I’ve just turned 36 and look better now than I have in years. Thanks Fit Camp!!

Hey I have been with Fit camps for 8 weeks. My goal was to find some new motivation, I was bored with the gym and wanted to be pushed a bit harder, to be challenged.  Have I achieved my goals, I think so, but there is always room for improvement :) what I love most would have to be the positive friendly environment, it’s great, I look forward to every session. The trainers are 100% focused on their clients and helping them reach their goals. Also, being a student i find that it is a cost effective way of getting the most of your training, you are motivated to work hard and get the most out of your session without having to pay for one on one training.  I would definitely recommend this to others.

My family has a high incident of heart disease, diabetes and cancer, with this in mind and as like everyone I’m not getting any younger I thought it was time to take control of my health and fitness. I started Fit Camp about 20 weeks ago, the aim was to push myself, to get in shape and to focus on living a more positive and healthy lifestyle.

Fit Camps works on so many levels – the days I exercise are also the days I’m more positive about myself, I eat better, have more energy and generally walk about with a smile on my face! They are such a positive and fun way to start the day.

The team is awesome, always supportive and great fun to be around, we have many fitness levels and encourage each other with our personal goals – the trainers ensure we work to the max and leave each session on a high. Would I recommend this to others? I already have! My partner, my flat mate and my friend and his wife all joined and love it as much as I do. I can’t think of a better way to start each day.

The thought of turning up to something new was quite daunting – I wasn’t very fit when I first started at Fit Camps and I had concerns that I wasn’t going to be able to do or complete any of the exercises.

I found everyone to be super friendly and the trainers Abe and Dez to be encouraging and inspiring. I have always struggled sticking to exercise classes and around 4 weeks I would always find some excuse to quit, I have now been attending fit camps for about 16 weeks and love every session. The sessions are always different and challenging but you leave with a sense of achievement, camaraderie and a great buzz for the day.

My original goal was to loose weight, tone up and become?healthier, after a few sessions my goals evolved,?could I beat the number of press ups, squats, plank holds that I did the session before..? Since attending fit camps I have walked/run a?marathon for relay for life,?completed?round the bays and generally look for new fun ways to stay active and healthy.

I would highly recommend Fit Camps to everyone, come along and?experience?it for yourself.

Fit Camp for me has turned the impossible to possible, fear into fun and goals into?reality. Thanks Guys

I was terribly unfit, hadn’t exercised in 5yrs and extremely over-weight when I joined Fit Camps in August 2010 – my goal was to get fit and lose weight. I’m definitely heaps fitter than when I started, way stronger than I ever thought I could be and the centimeters are coming off. What I enjoy about Fit Camps is the positive encouragement, the friendly atmosphere and the awesome friendships that I’ve made – you’re not just a face in a group of people! The instructors walk the talk; there isn’t anything that we are asked to do that they cannot do themselves. The variety of the classes is fantastic and is one of the reasons I keep coming back for more.

Fit Camps is my home away from home – I would recommend it for anyone no matter what your fitness levels are and whatever your goals may be, Fit Camps trainers WILL help you get there!
